Within the framework of the HELIOS project (“Research and Innovation Strategy for Lviv Polytechnic National University dedicated to White-Emitting Organic Lighting Systems”), we are pleased to invite researchers and research managers to a specialized online training session dedicated to the upcoming Horizon Europe Twinning Call 2026.
The HELIOS project is a Twinning Project funded under the European Commission’s Horizon Europe Widening Programme. Following its selection in the 2023 call with a budget of 1.5 million euros, the project aims to share its expertise to help others succeed. The European Commission will be funding a further 200+ Twinning Projects in the 2026 call, with a deadline of 9 April 2026.
Why participate? The Twinning call is open to proposals in any field of research, provided it is excellent and state-of-the-art. This training offers a valuable opportunity to learn how to prepare a competitive proposal.
Training Agenda
During this online session (expected duration: 1.5 – 2 hours), the trainer will cover:
Understanding the Call: How to interpret the European Commission’s text describing the Twinning call, including specific conditions, expected outcomes, and scope.
Proposal Success Strategies: How to structure a Twinning Network and the proposal itself (Part A and Part B).
Internal Competition: Details on how to enter an “internal competition” where up to three proposals prepared by LPNU will be selected for follow-up, hands-on support from the expert.
Q&A Session: An opportunity to ask questions.
About the Trainer
The session will be led by Giles Brandon (Intelligentsia Consultants). Giles is a highly experienced consultant whose company has won more than 10 Twinning projects over the years, including three in the 2023 call alone. He has helped implement four Twinning projects evaluated as “exceptional” in final reviews.
