Training for Scientific Dissemination and Communication

Trainer: Dr. Anna Zmiievska (Anromind)

Dr. Anna Zmiievska is an expert in funding facilitation for research and innovation projects, focusing on grant writing, project management, and scientific dissemination and communication. She currently serves as Project Director at Fundacja Partnerstwa Technologicznego in Warsaw, where she manages EU-funded projects, including Horizon Europe. She is also the co-founder and Lead Project Director at Anromind and Head of Partnership and Development at tradewithUA. In addition, she founded Anzy Home, a craft business supporting Ukrainian women through meaningful employment. Her extensive experience includes roles at the National Aerospace University and Intelligentsia Consultants, where she managed international collaborations and Horizon 2020 projects. A dedicated social entrepreneur, Dr. Zmiievska holds a PhD in Space Power Engineering and is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian, and English. She is passionate about empowering young women in Ukraine through entrepreneurship and innovation.

Training for Scientific Dissemination and Communication

The training for scientific dissemination and communication will be delivered in modules. Modules 1-3 will involve a 0.5 – 1 hour online lecture. A few homework questions will be set for each module to help consolidate the knowledge learned during the lectures.
Title Module 1: Introduction to dissemination, communication and exploitation

Content Difference between dissemination, communication (and exploitation), EC prospective and requirements, Importance of scientific dissemination and communication in building professional networks and collaborations.
 
Title Module 2: Researcher Profile + Social Media
Timing 13 MAY 2025 (16:00 EEST)
Content Overview and specifics of LinkedIn, ORCID, ResearchGate, and other social media platforms, How to select the right platform, Step-by-step guide to building an effective digital researcher profile.
 
Title Module 3: Open Science Policy
Timing 13 MAY 2025 (16:00 EEST)
Content Open Science: principles and benefits, Data Management Plans and FAIR principles, Horizon Europe’s Open Access requirements, Open Science Policy within organizations and collaborative projects
  Modules 4 and 5 will each involve a 1-hour physical lecture during the summer school in Palanga in August 2025. The lectures are expected to be followed by some group exercises. Those who successfully complete the homework/group exercises will receive a Certificate of Scientific Dissemination and Communication at the end of the course.
